Alien Mental is La from Chennai (India), currently living in San Francisco. He started his audial voyage playing in many different bands: metal, punk, jazz. He was pulled into the electronic realm of music in 2000, when he heard some pretty obscure electronic noise from Japan & Europe. After moving to USA, he started the Alien Mental. The project is geared towards pushing the boundries of goa/psy trance and fusing many genres together. La also writes music as Sonik Scizzor & has a Jibber Jabber project with Zik.

is La, from Chennai, India. I grew up playing different styles of music from the age of 16. The guitar was my first instrument, later moving on to the bass and drums. I played in a metal band for about 3 years giggin around india. Ive always been open to different forms of music and am always trying to experiment in fusing different genres of music together. I found goa trance in india but it wasnt until i came to San Francisco, i heard the real underground goa/psy trance. In Jan 2001, i decided to make goa trance, trying to push it to a new level of audial wizardry. The intention behind the music is to lift the conciousness of the dancer, making them more aware of their surroundings. To form a collective, and break through cultural differences, and simply so that we can all get along.
